Our History

Cór Mhaigh Eo (Mayo Choir), established in 1994, has currently 46 members from around the county. Under the direction of Kathy Quinn, the choir sings a wide repertoire of sacred and secular choral music ranging from the 16^th century compositions of Byrd, de Victoria and Monteverdi right through to contemporary composers such as Whitacre, Lauridsen, Lucaszewski and Dubra.

Beside a busy local schedule of performances at masses and concerts, Cór Mhaigh Eo participates at International Choral Festivals with great success and also enjoys travelling and performing abroad, having visited Scotland, Latvia, Italy, Spain and Monaco with plans for a trip to Prague.
